I published a post yesterday showing you all what my new creation looked like. It was pretty unfinished and more of an outline but still something about it spoke to me! Luckily I kept it instead of hitting that delete button that I’m known for! I’m learning to just keep going with my drawings because I’m the artist and if I don’t like something I can change it! At least that’s what they tell me! But let me tell you! Explaining that to my already stubborn in its own weird way mind of an artist, is proving to be quite difficult! But, I did it with this one and that means I’m making progress! So pat on the back for me!
Earlier today I worked on my drawing for another couple hours and I’m so impressed with how it’s turning out so far! This isn’t something I usually do. I’m the type of person who will draw something and then decide it isn’t perfect so it’s not good enough and crumple it into a little ball tossing it in the nearest garbage can! I’m horrible for it! Which leads me to wonder if designers get imposter syndrome like writers do?!? I know I feel like I do sometimes! I’ll have to look into this!
Anyways now that I’m done giving you guys more of my backstory here is my drawing from yesterday vs my drawing updates today! Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
I am looking at my drawing now and am almost shocked that I’ve done this myself and it wasn’t another artist who is obviously much more talented than myself! Im just in disbelief because this is probably my best drawing I’ve done to date!
As Ive said before I’m not one to share my process or even my full drawings with the people I actually know, let alone the internet! I believe that by the time I’m done this piece, it could become one of my all time favorites that I’ve done over the years. I’m working hard to get it finished so I can show you guys the final results too! And so that I can bask in the under rated glory of a fully finished creation! I love celebrating! And that sounds like a good enough reason to me, for a celebration!
I’m hoping to get some prints made of some of my designs soon and put them up for sale over on my brand new shop One Page At A Time Graphic Designs once I’m a little bit more organized.
