I absolutely love the fall season and all the spooky fun that comes along with it! I love carving pumpkins, the decor, the candles and all the festive treats I get to bake and keep in constant supply for my littles. The smells, tastes, and general aesthetic of the spooky season make my heart happy.
October is also my birthday month! I have an extra special birthday because I was lucky enough to have a daughter on the exact same day who also loves all the spooky things! We are so much alike it honestly scares me sometimes. She looks just like me and has my attitude…possibly worse! My very own mini version of myself. She’s also my very best friend! We get along so well and I can’t wait until she’s old enough to share in my books with me. Until then though I will read the pg books with her! I still have a few years to go yet.
This is my favorite season for books and reading too. I love me a sexy stalker romance or an alpha hole throwing “Touch Her And Die!” Vibes. I have strong desires for a broody psycho or a well spoken secret serial killer. And I really love some well thought out twists and turns throughout stories keeping me on the edge of my seat until the end. I’ve read some pretty twisted books and I’ve read some less gruesome books as well.I tend to love them all no matter the gore level.
I have compiled my Spooky Season/October TBR in a video so I can share them with all of you! I have read a few from my list so far and have found some new favorite indie authors for sure! These ladies sure can make me fall hard for a psychopath and I am not scared to admit it in the least! My list has everything from Halloween Cozies to WTF did I just read so make sure you read the trigger warnings before diving into one of them! I’ll post reviews as I finish so keep an eye on the blog to see what I thought!
